Step 2
The patient can take the test at home via a link or at your clinic, with or without personnel observing.
The test "leads itself" with instructions both verbally and in writing . The patient sets the pace and is allowed to practice before each sharp test.
Step 3
The results are compiled for easy journaling and assessment by clinical staff.
The observation component can be compensated for to some extent by the clinician listening to audio files and seeing how the patient worked during the test afterwards .
Why digital cognitive testing?
Testing aims to describe patients' strengths and difficulties through a functional description.
The functional description provides an objective picture of the patent's functioning, any functional impairments, and describes what resources are available.
The results constitute an important basis for, for example, diagnostics, behavioral therapeutic interventions, person-centered efforts and recommendations.
The goal of testing is, among other things, to use the patient's strengths and resources to find compensatory strategies, increase the patient's understanding of their own functional variation, as well as find support in the environment and surrounding factors that increase well-being.
The patient is examined and gains an increased understanding of how cognition works, an important part that complements the history and assessment scales. Which adds an important and otherwise invisible piece of the puzzle in the diagnostic assessment.
