Enables person-centered care

Personcentrerad

Through early detection, we can help more people and implement the right interventions at the right time.

Our population is getting older and we can already see that the younger generation, which will take care of the aging population, will not be enough. Therefore, we as a society must find effective and innovative solutions.

Using digital tests to map the cognitive functions of users gives you the opportunity to use your resources more effectively.

The results presented give employees an increased understanding of how to behave when dealing with each user, which in turn increases the competence regarding cognition in the operation.

What is cognition?

Cognition is a broad concept that includes everything that has to do with thought and information processes in the brain.

You could say it's everything we do in our heads, from receiving sensory input to making decisions and solving problems. Cognitive status is a here-and-now measurement of our overall mental ability.

This is because cognition can change over time, both due to normal causes and circumstances such as aging, but also due to unforeseen events such as dementia, fatigue, infection or more severe concussion.

Here you can find more information about cognition.

Kognition

The value for healthcare professionals

Värde

The biggest cost within a Swedish municipality today is elderly care, where many municipalities in the country are running a deficit. Here, digital tools that are both cost-effective and do not compromise on quality may be necessary to be able to deliver on their mission within municipal care and welfare.

With Mindmore you can easily measure cognitive function, follow up on efforts and optimize your resources, highlighting each user's unique cognitive profile, where we measure the five different domains in the brain.

What domains does Mindmore measure?

Memory

Specifically the ability to store and retrieve information.
Attention/pace

For the purpose of filtering stimuli, processing information, and focusing on a specific task at a normal pace .
Executive function

Refers to functions that control and regulate our thoughts, actions and behavior.

Perception

Organization, identification, and interpretation of sensory information to represent and understand the presented information or environment.
Verbal function

Includes using and understanding language.

Visuospatial function
Cognitive ability that involves interpreting visual information and understanding spatial relationships.

Based on these domains, a municipality can obtain valuable information about where a specific user needs support related to cognition. This enables more standardized working methods and ensures that all knowledge is not locked into just a few employees within the organization.

How is Mindmore used in municipalities today?

Get the most out of our digital tool

Since the conditions are different for each municipality, you can feel secure in the knowledge that Mindmore adapts to the business.

Whether it is the region or you yourself as a municipality that carries out the basic dementia investigations in your part of the country, Mindmore can support both before and after diagnosis.

Before diagnosis with a digital MMSE-NR3 test where you get a good snapshot if an extended investigation is needed. Large parts of the extended investigation can be done in Mindmore's digital tool afterwards.

This combined with our symptom interview for both the person taking the test and their relatives. This symptom interview can also be used for other conditions.

After diagnosis, if the individual is early in their disease progression, to obtain a cognitive status where you can see where strengths and weaknesses lie in relation to the person's cognition.

Examples of other uses:

  • In assistive technology testing

  • To measure the effects of rehabilitation interventions

  • When moving into accommodation

  • Snapshot of a user's cognitive functioning level
