How can Mindmore be used in your research study?
Digital cognitive test result in more efficient measurements than with manual, paper-based versions.
Compared to classic cognitive tests such as MMSE / MMT or MoCA, the data is significantly more detailed; Mindmore measures all cognitive domains with two to six tests per domain, which provides a lot of information about each function and increases the sensitivity to subtle cognitive differences.
Additionally while collecting large amounts of data, no time is needed to be spent administering the testing yourself or calculating results. The tool handles test management and automatically!

The value of using Mindmore for data collection

-
Efficient: Collect a lot of data – easily and with few resources.
-
Flexible: Create your own test battery, with the desired combination of cognitive tests, at no extra cost.
-
Increased variables: ~40 data points per test session, with the ability to add unique data points such as reaction time for part of the test or number of clicks on a particular symbol.
-
Large norm data: Results are based on norm data from >1200 healthy individuals through a regression-based model that takes into account gender, age and education level.
-
Track progression: The identical test situations allow for comparison of participants' results over time and facilitate the tracking of progression.
-
Easily export results in various formats, such as Excel and CSV, for your analyses.
How does Mindmore's data collection work?
It's very simple! Mindmore can be administered either as a distance test where a test link is sent out via email and the testing takes place at home - or on site at your offices.
It is up to you whether you want to sit with the participant for observation or not - the test is completely self-administered and consists of instructions (in text and audio), interactive examples, the tests themselves and any participant questions.
All data, including your entered observations, is saved automatically. The results are available immediately after the test via our Results Portal.
Selection of ongoing studies with Mindmore's tests
Cognitive Testing in Primary Care for the Evaluation of Depression and Fatigue Syndrome
Region Östergötland | Linköping University
Using the Mindmore digital cognitive test battery and collecting biomarkers at baseline for patients newly diagnosed with MDD or SED in primary care, together with healthy controls. Two follow-ups at 12 and 24 months will enable the investigation of treatment effects and cognitive, immunological, neurodegenerative and stress-related symptoms over time.
Status: Data collection ongoing
Evaluation of Remote Testing of Cognition for Patients with Neurological Diseases and Injuries
Umeå University |
The aim of this study is to validate Mindmore remote against standardized neuropsychological tests for patients with diagnoses such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, brain tumor and epilepsy. The study is a cross-sectional study with a case-control design and will include 50 patients in each diagnostic group and 50 healthy controls. All participants will undergo both digital tests with Mindmore remote at home and traditional neuropsychological tests in the clinic in a randomized order.Read more about the ongoing study here: https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT05819008Primary results for healthy subjects will be presented at the Nordic Meeting in Neuropsychology 2024
Status: Data collection ongoing
Early Diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease in Primary Care
Karolinska Institutet |
Investigating a new approach to identifying early signs of Alzheimer's disease through the combination of Mindmore's digital cognitive tests and blood-based biomarkers. This study aims to revolutionize the detection of Alzheimer's.

MCI / dementia in specialist care
Mindmore | Dalengeriatriken memory clinic
The aim is to investigate the clinical validity of the Mindmore dementia battery. Patients being investigated for dementia are asked to complete the Mindmore dementia battery. Health status and final diagnosis are collected to determine the sensitivity and specificity of the test battery for MCI and dementia.
Status: Data collection in progress
Introduction of Digital Cognitive Testing in Primary Care during the Investigation of Mild Cognitive Impairment and Dementia
Region Östergötland | Linköping University
The project aims to streamline and improve dementia assessment in primary care by using Mindmore as a digital platform for cognitive testing and questionnaires for patients and caregivers. The focus is on mapping cognitive ability and everyday functioning, crucial elements for early diagnosis and improved patient outcomes.
Status: Data collection ongoing; primary results presented at the Alzheimer’s Disease International conference 2024. Read more at FORSS and ALF.
Improving Preoperative Sleep for Improved Cognitive Outcomes in Patients Undergoing Joint Replacement Surgeries
Uppsala University | Karolinska Institutet (KI)
This study focuses on the cognitive effects of improved preoperative sleep in individuals undergoing knee and hip replacement surgery.
This randomised controlled trial (RCT) study uses Mindmore for cognitive assessments before and after surgery, as well as at one-year follow-up.
Status: Data collection ongoing
PASC24 - Follow-up of psychiatric, cognitive and neurological symptoms in post-covid patients
Örebro University Hospital | Örebro Region | Örebro University | University of Gothenburg
About the study:
Patients infected with COVID-19 are followed for at least two years. Physical, mental and cognitive functions and expression of biomarkers are examined, as well as health-related quality of life and work ability. The aim is to investigate how different individuals are affected by the disease, in order to develop more individually tailored treatment with faster rehabilitation and return to work.
