How are digital cognitive tests used in occupational health care?

  • In the rehabilitation process , where mapping of how cognition is affected facilitates decisions on appropriate measures.
    ​

  • In work ability assessments , because cognitive function affects work ability.
    ​

  • In medical certificates for, for example, stress , fatigue, depression or pain problems.
    ​

  • In health checks , where regular testing enables early detection of cognitive changes and abnormalities.
    ​

  • In the case of return to work , where measures of cognitive ability can facilitate adaptation of the work in collaboration with the employer.

The value for healthcare professionals

  • Compared to analog cognitive testing, Mindmore can save operations over two hours per test session.  
     

  • Objective survey findings facilitate communication with employees, employers and external parties such as the Swedish Social Insurance Agency.

"A customer in their 50s applies to occupational health care for stress-related problems. Both me and the doctor judge that it is about fatigue - the anamnesis is correct and all criteria are met.

Treatment begins, with a psychologist call and full-time sick leave.

The treatment seems to work well and the customer begins to feel better. Slow return to work begins.

But when the scope of work is stepped up, the customer quickly gets worse and no longer works at work.

That's when I decide to carry out a test with Mindmore's screening battery, to see if there may be something else behind the problem.

The test result indicates dementia-specific deficiencies. For example, it shows low naming ability - something that should not be affected by fatigue syndrome.

I realize that we need to investigate this further and send a referral to primary care. Their investigation then results in an Alzheimer's diagnosis. It was surprising; Everything seemed at first to coincide with fatigue and Alzheimer's is uncommon at this age.

The testing made it possible to find the underlying explanation for the patient's problem. "
